Overview
Job description; helping customers have a positive experience whether they are purchasing a new e-bike, dropping off their bike to have service done, or sending individuals and groups out to ride our rental bikes. You might be the right person for the job if you are friendly and learn quickly!
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive bicycle repairs including cleaning bikes, adjusting braking and shifting, fixing flats, component installs and bike builds using hand and power tools.
- Diagnose mechanical issues based on customer dialog or identified by inspection.
- Assemble new bicycles by following plans and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Conduct routine maintenance work on rentals such as tire inflation, chain lubrication, brake pad replacement, and general cleaning to keep bikes in optimal condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to customer needs, explaining options, and recommending suitable products or accessories.
- Assist customers in selecting bikes, accessories, and maintenance products while managing sales transactions accurately.
- Handle heavy lifting of bicycles and parts safely while maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety for all team members.
Skills
- Strong mechanical experience or interest
- Skilled in symptom-based diagnosis to identify issues accurately.
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for biking and outdoor recreation to connect authentically with customers.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance work.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
