Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive outstanding service in a fine dining environment. Your primary responsibilities will be to greet guests, take orders, upsell, maintain table cleanliness, serve food and beverages in a timely fashion, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly upon seating, ensuring they feel welcomed.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and enter them correctly & efficiently into the POS
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Process payments using the POS and handle transactions accurately.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Advanced knowledge of the Steps-of-Service
- Advanced food & wine pairing knowledge is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Excellent guest relations skills to foster positive interactions with customers.
- Exceptional customer service abilities to create memorable dining experiences.
- Familiarity with cash register operations for processing payments accurately.
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance.
- A background in hospitality is beneficial for understanding guest needs and expectations.
- Proficiency with reservation systems such as OpenTable is a plus but not required.
