RSC is recruiting for marine structural welders and shipfitters to work in Philadelphia, PA.
The pay for both is 32/hr and 150/day perdiem. Long term contract.
Shipfitters must be able to tack weld with Flux and Stick.
Testing is done in Philadelphia. Travel reimbursement is available.
Structural Welders Must be able to pass a 2G and 3G flux core test, 1inch thick with ceramic backing.
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety standards. This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately. The Structural Welder will work on-site, collaborating with other trades to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
Duties
- Perform Flux Core welding on various materials including sheet metal and structural components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to determine project requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.
- Conduct pipe threading and ductwork assembly as required by project specifications.
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials and equipment around the construction site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Use calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to ensure precision in measurements and welds.
- Collaborate with team members on rigging tasks and mechanical assembly projects.
- Perform plasma cutting and/or torch cutting as needed for various fabrication tasks.
