Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry of journal entries, debits & credits, and maintaining the general ledger using QuickBooks Software.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with relevant payroll regulations
- Handle accounts payable by verifying invoices, preparing payments, and maintaining vendor records
- Manage accounts receivable by invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts
- Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for financial report writing as needed
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial management tools
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, and GAAP standards.
- Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliation
- Knowledge of payroll processing procedures and related tax regulations
- Skilled in spreadsheet management using Excel or similar tools for data analysis and reporting
- Familiarity with financial concepts such as account analysis, account reconciliation, budget management, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to adapt quickly to new accounting systems and maintain high levels of accuracy under tight deadlines
