Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Recertification Specialist to join our team, committed to ensuring compliance with housing regulations and supporting residents through the recertification process. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our housing programs, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, and other affordable housing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the recertification process for residents across multiple housing programs, ensuring timely and accurate documentation submission.
- Verify income and household information in compliance with Fair Housing regulations and program guidelines.
- Conduct outreach and communication with residents to facilitate recertification appointments and address any issues or concerns.
- Maintain detailed records using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Stay informed about updates in LIHTC, Section 8, landlord-tenant law, and other relevant regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support property management teams by coordinating inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Educate residents on their rights under Fair Housing laws and available community resources.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management, recertification processes, or social work within affordable housing settings.
- Knowledge of LIHTC regulations, Section 8 voucher programs, landlord-tenant law, and Fair Housing regulations.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Ability to interpret legal documents related to housing programs and social services.
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
