Overview
Join our dynamic marine construction team as a Marine Construction Carpenter/Laborer and be a vital part of building and maintaining essential waterfront infrastructure. Duties
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of marine structures such as docks, piers, seawalls, and bulkheads using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, excavators and dozers.
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocol
- Follow FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations when operating commercial trucks or heavy machinery on site or between locations
- Use welding equipment and perform basic fabrication tasks as needed for structural assembly or repairs.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of all tools and machinery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, or marine construction projects with a focus on civil or outdoor work environments
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools and power tools for carpentry or structural work
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly while maintaining safety standards.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols specific to outdoor construction sites and marine environments.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid outdoor work experience with a focus on civil infrastructure projects involving waterway access or shoreline stabilization is preferred.
