Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Help (Prep, Dish, Cook) Closer to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients following recipes and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring proper waste disposal throughout the shift
- Support cooking activities by following recipes accurately and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Close the kitchen at the end of each shift by cleaning surfaces, restocking supplies, and preparing for the next day’s operations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and ensure smooth workflow
- Follow all safety standards in production, handling food properly, and maintaining a hygienic environment at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is highly preferred
- Experience with meal planning, food preparation, and operating kitchen equipment is advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is essential
- Restaurant or catering experience will be considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of culinary techniques such as knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence is beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
