This position is responsible for RFQ intake, CRM administration, lead qualification, quote coordination, customer support, prospecting activities, and sales process execution.
The role ensures disciplined opportunity management within Salesforce, supports revenue growth initiatives, and provides proactive coordination of customer activities from initial inquiry through order placement and ongoing account support.
Responsibilities:
- Manage RFQ intake, validate completeness of customer requirements, and enter opportunities into Salesforce to ensure timely Business Development follow-up.
- Support quote preparation by coordinating internal inputs, assembling customer quotation packages, converting final quotes to PDF, and tracking follow-up activities.
- Coordinate order processing activities by submitting purchase orders to Customer Service, maintaining status visibility, and ensuring accurate opportunity tracking in Salesforce.
- Maintain Salesforce CRM data accuracy by partnering with Business Development Managers to update opportunity stages, close dates, customer contacts, and required fields.
- Support customer issue resolution by coordinating cross-functional communication, tracking corrective actions, and providing proactive updates to customers and Business Development team.
- Execute outbound prospecting campaigns through phone, email, market research, and lead generation activities to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against established criteria and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Manager.
- Coordinate customer visits, meetings, and follow-up activities while maintaining action item tracking through completion.
- Monitor open opportunities and quotations to ensure timely follow-up, customer responsiveness, and adherence to business development processes.
- Generate Salesforce reports, dashboards, and activity summaries to support sales pipeline management and account reviews.
- Support account development initiatives by maintaining customer records, organizing project documentation, and coordinating communication between customers and internal teams.
- Travel 10-15% possible.
Experience:
- 2-5+ years of related customer service and/or sales experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
- The ability to remain professional & calm under high pressure and maintain detailed records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Strong communication and computer skills (ERP familiarity, Salesforce/CRM and MS Office Suite) required.
- Sound practical judgment of priorities & time management.
- Negotiation Skills

- Contract review experience
- Blueprint reading capability preferred
- Experience in the Aerospace, Defense sector preferred
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s degree Required; Bachelor’s degree Preferred
- Salesforce/CRM and ERP (JBA) system knowledge/experience required.
