Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pool Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a minimum of three years experience in pool equipment repairs and installation. This role involves a high degree of knowledge regarding pool pumps, filters, plumbing, lighting, automation, and electrical systems. Any knowledge and experience with above ground hot tub components is a plus. Candidates possessing strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics in a simplified manner will be given preference in the hiring process. In addition to a regular annual salary, qualified candidates will be offered the opportunity to earn bonuses and/or commissions on equipment repair and installation work completed.
Duties
- Inspect, install, and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and heaters using hand tools and power tools.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to pool systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding pool maintenance.
- On occasion, may be required to perform regular pool cleaning and maintenance tasks, including skimming, vacuuming and brushing pool surfaces, conducting water tests, and balancing to ensure proper chemical levels are maintained.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and equipment used during each visit.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working on-site at client locations.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and maintenance best practices.
- Should be CPO certified or agree to attain a CPO certification within two months of hire date.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
