Duties
- Lead and supervise restaurant team members during your shift, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and transaction reconciliation.
- Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Enforce food safety protocols and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations to guarantee guest safety.
- Assist with staff scheduling, interviewing potential team members, and conducting training & development initiatives.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain excellent customer service and satisfaction.
- Support kitchen management by coordinating food production activities and supervising food handling procedures.
- Conduct shift reports including sales summaries, incident logs, and operational issues to ensure seamless communication across shifts.
- Participate in profit and loss analysis to identify opportunities for improving restaurant performance and profitability.
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and customer service.
- Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience within the food industry or hospitality management setting.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting.
- Experience managing inventory control, food safety standards, and food production processes.
- Prior involvement in staff training & development, managing hospitality teams, or restaurant management roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food cost control strategies.
- Casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus; experience with catering or banquet services is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills combined with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
