Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work safely at heights. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Install roofing systems including shingles, and metal roofs according to specifications.
- Inspect roofs for damage and wear, providing necessary repairs or replacements.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively during roofing projects.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks as needed to ensure proper roof installation.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance on roofing systems to extend their lifespan.
- Apply caulking and sealants to prevent leaks and enhance roof durability.
- Assist in remodeling projects that may involve roofing work or related tasks.
Skills
- Proficiency in using power tools such as nail guns, saws, and drills.
- Knowledge of trim carpentry techniques and practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor consistently throughout the day.
- Understanding of basic plumbing and electrical concepts related to roofing systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices while working at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively on-site.
