Position Summary
The Shipping, Receiving, Assembly & Production Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily production and fulfillment operations of Medicatech by assembling products, preparing customer orders, receiving incoming inventory, and shipping completed systems accurately and efficiently.
This is a hands-on production role requiring strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, organization, and the ability to follow established assembly procedures and quality standards. The specialist works closely with Operations, Engineering, Customer Support, and Purchasing to ensure products move efficiently from receiving through production and final shipment.
Core Responsibilities
The Shipping, Receiving, Assembly & Production Specialist is responsible for the following duties. These responsibilities provide an overview of the position but are not intended to include every task that may be assigned.
Production & Assembly
- Assemble medical equipment, components, accessories, and systems according to work instructions, engineering drawings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Install components, hardware, cables, accessories, and required system configurations
- Program Digital Radiography (DR) panels and perform required software configurations
- Perform functional testing and visual inspections to verify product quality prior to shipment
- Identify missing parts, defects, or assembly concerns and communicate them promptly
- Complete production documentation and assembly records accurately
- Maintain clean and organized assembly workstations
- Assist Engineering with prototype builds, product improvements, and production implementation as needed
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve assembly efficiency and product quality
Shipping & Order Fulfillment
- Pick, verify, package, and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Ensure all products are packaged securely to prevent shipping damage
- Prepare shipping labels, documentation, tracking information, and freight paperwork
- Coordinate daily shipments through UPS, FedEx, freight carriers, and other transportation providers
- Verify orders against packing lists prior to shipment
- Track shipments and assist in resolving delivery issues when necessary
- Stage completed orders for carrier pickup
- Maintain shipping records and shipment documentation
Receiving & Inventory Support
- Receive incoming inventory, equipment, and supplies
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect incoming materials for shortages, damage, or discrepancies
- Report receiving issues promptly to Purchasing or Operations
- Label, organize, and properly store incoming inventory
- Move received materials to designated inventory or production locations
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts
- Help maintain accurate inventory organization and stock locations
Production Support
- Prepare kits and materials required for production builds
- Maintain proper inventory levels at assembly workstations
- Restock production supplies as needed
- Assist with staging projects for upcoming production schedules
- Support workflow between receiving, production, quality inspection, and shipping
- Help maintain efficient material flow throughout the production area
Returns & Repair Support
- Receive returned equipment under approved RMA procedures
- Verify returned products against documentation
- Organize repair inventory and maintain proper tracking
- Prepare repaired or replacement products for shipment
- Coordinate movement of repair items between departments
- Maintain accurate records of repair inventory and completed repairs
Organization, Safety & Quality
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and equipment handling requirements
- Protect products from damage during assembly, storage, and shipping
- Follow quality control procedures and established work instructions
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and workflow
- Maintain professional standards while representing the Operations department

- Manual dexterity required for assembling electronic and mechanical components
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
