Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman – Multifamily to lead crews on active multifamily construction projects in the Charlotte area. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong field management, code knowledge, scheduling, and coordination with other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors onsite
- Maintain and manage the job schedule
- Send delay notifications to the GC when schedule impacts occur due to other trades
- Prepare and distribute weekly 3-week look-ahead schedules to all subcontractors
- Conduct daily and weekly paperwork
- Conduct morning huddles with employees and subcontractors
- Ensure jobsite safety is the top priority and fully enforced
- Properly set up and maintain job trailers (posters, emergency plans, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, security systems)
- Lay out work accurately and in compliance with all applicable codes
- Coordinate daily with other onsite trades
- Walk work behind subcontractors daily to ensure quality, efficiency, and material control
- Perform quality control (QC) on all phases of work and submit required documentation
- Track, manage, and conserve materials where possible
- Ensure accurate time reporting
- Maintain company truck and keep it clean and in good condition
- Keep the jobsite clean and organized
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Return tools clean and complete
- Provide minor training and guidance as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Foreman in a multifamily environment (required)
- Proven ability to lead and manage crews
- Strong knowledge of:
- Residential Electrical Code
- ADA requirements
- Elevator electrical work
- Switchgear
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
