Position
Responsible for the day-to-day management of the logistics function, ensuring cost effectiveness and timely management of carriage, selecting and maintaining relationships with logistic partners and informing customers about all details related to shipments.
General Accountabilities
- Organizing all shipments in line with company requirements;
- Follow up with agents to ensure correct delivery address and date.
- Ensuring the integrity of import / export documentation such as Bills of lading, Commercial invoices and packing lists;
- Timely preparation of International documentation and authorization all air shipments;
- Preparing and maintaining a delivery schedule and communicating to all relevant departments;
- Maintenance of system data requirements and ensuring integrity at all times;
- Working closely with the Logistics department in the Netherlands.
- Continual review of shipping dates and reporting exceptions
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.
- Assistant Account Managers with requests for transport costs of orders.
- Inform customers of all details with regards to the shipment of their orders. (forwarding details)
- Ensures that warehouse colleagues receive all the appropriate shipment documents (BOL, Labels, Commercial invoice etc.)
- Assist broker with all incoming goods from abroad, through ocean (containers) or air (air-freights)
- Ensure all transactions in relation to import/export are compliant with local rules and regulations and inform colleagues as needed of changes in these rules and regulations.
- Coach, manage and direct the Logistic Administrator during daily operations.
Authorization
The Logistics Specialist has the authority to make decisions and take measures within the scope of this job description. Always relating all information back to the Logistics Team Leader.
Job Qualifications
Reports any issues within their field of work to responsible managers and initiates improvements and corrective measures.
- Responsible duties are performed following procedures and instructions as recorded in HQSE system as well as local rules and regulations.
Education
- Associate degree and 3 years of working experience in a related field
- Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Logistics role is preferred.
- Excellent skills in client services and in building long-term relationships
- Can demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile, to exceed expectations.
- Experience with Drawback procedure preferred

Logistics Specialists must be flexible and if required, to work past normal business hours.
