Systems Engineer
Location: Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) – Dahlgren, VA
NSWCDD is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS). This role is ideal for engineers who have experience defining system requirements, developing interface documentation, and supporting the systems engineering lifecycle for complex hardware or software systems.
We're looking for candidates who enjoy connecting technical disciplines, translating operational needs into engineering requirements, and ensuring complex systems work together seamlessly.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain system-level engineering products, including requirements, engineering packages, interface documentation, and design artifacts.
- Lead the development, analysis, and maintenance of system requirements and requirements traceability.
- Define and manage system interfaces between software, hardware, and external systems.
- Support engineering review boards by evaluating technical changes and identifying impacts across the system.
- Work closely with Navy program offices, software developers, test engineers, and other stakeholders to coordinate technical solutions.
- Support the development of system enhancements from concept through implementation.
- Develop engineering analyses, technical recommendations, and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates.
- Prepare technical reports, briefings, and engineering documentation supporting program decisions.
- Apply sound systems engineering principles throughout the development lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related STEM field

Pay: $83,119.00 - $158,322.00 per year
