Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine physical therapy needs and develop tailored care plans
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and mobility exercises
- Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust treatment strategies to optimize recovery outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions across care settings
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and home care routines to support ongoing recovery
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems following healthcare regulations
- Assist with acute care procedures in hospital environments and provide specialized care for inpatient and outpatient populations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice
- Experience with discharge planning, care plans development, and home & community care coordination
- Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and patient management
- Hands-on expertise in outpatient clinics, hospital inpatient units, home health services, and pediatric or geriatric care settings
- Familiarity with orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and trigger point therapy methods
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their treatment plans
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
