The Indo Pub is hiring an experienced Kitchen Manager / Lead Line Cook for our small, established neighborhood pub in downtown Beverly.
We’re a scratch kitchen serving approachable pub food done well. Our menu is casual and familiar, but quality, consistency, and execution matter.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is strong on the line, confident on the grill, and able to help lead a small kitchen with steady, positive energy.
The right candidate takes pride in simple food done right, communicates clearly, supports the team, and knows how to maintain standards while keeping the kitchen organized and upbeat.
Responsibilities
- Work the line during service and help keep the kitchen running smoothly
- Cook burgers and meats accurately to requested temperature
- Maintain recipes, portions, prep, plating, and quality standards
- Support prep flow, organization, and service readiness
- Train, direct, and support line cooks, prep cooks, and dish staff
- Place bread and produce orders as needed
- Monitor stock levels and communicate ordering needs for the main order
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and health-code standards
- Provide input on specials, menu updates, and kitchen improvements as needed
- Lead by example with a steady, respectful, team-first approach
Requirements
- Strong line cooking experience
- Grill experience required
- Must be confident cooking burgers and meats to temperature
- Basic knife skills required
- Ability to read and accurately follow recipes
- Experience as a lead line cook, kitchen supervisor, sous chef, kitchen manager, or similar role preferred
- Strong food safety knowledge
- Food Protection Manager Certification required or able to obtain within 2 months
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Evening and weekend availability
- Fluent in English
- Professional references required
Schedule:
- Wednesday & Thursday 2 - 10:30 PM
- Friday & Saturday 4 - 10:30 PM
- Sunday 4 - 9:30 PM
