Position Summary
The Adolescent Academic Advisor and Student Success Coach plays a vital role in helping middle and high school students thrive academically, socially, and personally within the Adolescent Program. This position combines mentorship, academic coaching, executive functioning support, classroom assistance, and daily student supervision to ensure students develop the independence and responsibility needed for long-term success.
Working closely with the Adolescent Program Guides and school administration, the Student Success Advisor serves as the primary mentor for an assigned group of students, helping them monitor academic progress, stay organized, complete coursework, prepare for ACT testing, and build essential life skills.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy building relationships with adolescents, coaching students toward success, and creating a supportive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Youth Development, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience working with middle school or high school students.
- Experience in academic coaching, mentoring, advising, tutoring, or executive functioning support.
- Strong organizational and technology skills.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and learning management systems is preferred.
