CNC Machinist – Vertical & Horizontal/Bar

About the Role
A growing machining company in Neenah is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for multiple openings on first and second shift. Available opportunities include Vertical Machinist positions on both shifts and a Bar/Horizontal Machinist position on second shift.
These roles involve independently setting up and operating CNC machining centers to produce precision components from customer drawings. Candidates should have strong setup experience, G & M code knowledge, blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances.
Available Positions
Vertical Machinist – 1st Shift
- Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
- $25–$35 per hour
- Operate a 20" x 40" VMC with Fanuc control
- Overtime available on Fridays
Vertical Machinist – 2nd Shift
- Monday–Wednesday, 3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
- Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
- $25–$35 per hour
- Operate a 20" x 40" VMC with Fanuc control
- Overtime available on Fridays
Bar/Horizontal Machinist – 2nd Shift
- Monday–Wednesday, 3:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
- Thursday, 3:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
- $30–$40 per hour
- Additional $2.00 per hour shift differential
- Machine large frames, weldments, and complex parts
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC vertical, bar, or horizontal machining centers based on the assigned position
- Load, edit, and verify CNC programs
- Set up tooling, fixtures, workholding, and parts
- Manufacture precision components from customer-supplied drawings and specifications
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain tight tolerances and established quality standards
- Perform basic machine maintenance and preventive maintenance
- Communicate production or quality concerns to leadership
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least five years of CNC machining experience
- Strong knowledge of G & M code programming
- Experience completing CNC machine setups
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience setting up tooling, fixtures, and workholding
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
