Duties
- Supervise daily playgroups, ensuring all dogs interact safely and positively while monitoring their behavior closely.
- Assist with dog training exercises to promote good manners and social skills.
- Handle dogs using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety during play, grooming, or veterinary procedures.
- Provide pet grooming services such as bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene care to keep dogs clean and comfortable.
- Support pet sitting duties by feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by cleaning kennels, play areas, and grooming stations regularly.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog’s behavior, health status, and special needs to ensure transparency and trust.
Skills
- Experience in dog handling, training, or animal care that demonstrates confidence working with various breeds and temperaments.
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience that provides knowledge of animal health needs.
- Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or kennel management to deliver comprehensive care.
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to restrain animals safely during procedures or playtime.
- Excellent customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and address their concerns professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for moving supplies or assisting larger dogs safely.
