Medical Assistant – Concierge Primary Care, Phlebotomy and Procedures
Pay: $20.00–$24.00 per hour
Work Location: Bonita Springs, Florida, with occasional local travel based on patient-care needs

We are a growing physician-led primary care and concierge medical practice serving patients in our clinic, concierge setting, and select assisted living and skilled nursing communities.
Our practice focuses on attentive, relationship-based medical care, longevity medicine, wellness, aesthetics, and advanced procedures. Services include PRP, microneedling, specialty laboratory testing, chronic-care support, and personalized wellness programs.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and compassionate Medical Assistant who enjoys both hands-on clinical work and high-touch patient service.
This is a varied position that goes beyond basic rooming. The Medical Assistant will help support clinical visits, blood draws, specialty laboratory testing, procedures, patient communication, care coordination, and selected front-office workflows.
The right candidate will be comfortable following written protocols, accurately documenting information, carefully handling specimens, learning new procedures, and creating a warm and polished experience for every patient.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients efficiently and professionally.
- Obtain and accurately document vital signs.
- Review and update medication lists, allergies, medical histories, and current patient concerns.
- Prepare examination and procedure rooms before each visit.
- Perform venipuncture and assist with blood draws.
- Accurately label, process, package, and prepare specimens for laboratory pickup or shipment.
- Assist with specialty laboratory kits and specimen-collection instructions.
- Prepare patients, rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Assist the provider with PRP, microneedling, aesthetics, wellness treatments, and other office-based procedures.
- Document procedure-related information as directed by the provider.
- Follow infection-control, sharps-safety, clean-technique, and sterile-technique protocols.
- Clean and reset examination and procedure rooms between patients.
- Monitor clinical supplies, laboratory kits, expiration dates, and inventory levels.
- Track laboratory results, forms, orders, and assigned patient follow-up tasks.
- Promptly communicate clinical questions or concerns to the appropriate medical provider.
- Occasionally support clinical workflows at local assisted living or skilled nursing facilities, depending on practice needs.
Concierge Patient Service and Care Coordination
- Greet patients warmly and create a calm, professional office experience.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out.
- Schedule appointments, procedures, laboratory visits, and follow-up care.
- Reinforce provider instructions and help patients understand their next administrative steps.
- Coordinate records, testing, referrals, and follow-up items under the direction of the clinical team.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and family members by telephone, email, portal message, and in person.
- Respond to routine patient questions within the Medical Assistant’s role and promptly route clinical questions to a provider.
- Help maintain timely, attentive, and personalized service for concierge patients.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, staff members, pharmacies, laboratories, and senior-living facility teams.
Administrative and Technology Responsibilities
- Enter accurate and timely information into the electronic medical record.
- Scan, upload, label, and organize incoming medical records and forms.
- Maintain accurate patient demographics and other assigned information.
- Use electronic scheduling, timekeeping, and task-management systems consistently.
- Use Google Workspace applications, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Chat.
- Monitor assigned messages and task lists throughout the workday.
- Assist with chronic-care management, transitional-care outreach, and other patient follow-up programs when needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
- Follow written protocols, checklists, and office workflows.
- Help keep the clinical and administrative areas clean, stocked, and organized.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program, active MA certification, or relevant hands-on medical-assisting experience preferred.
- Recent Medical Assistant graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply.
- Venipuncture and blood-draw experience strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Experience with an electronic medical record system preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and checklists consistently.
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally when required.
- Ability to maintain dependable on-site attendance.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful but not required:
- Primary care or internal medicine
- Geriatric medicine

Training and Performance Expectations
Practice-specific training will be provided. During onboarding, the employee will receive instruction on our clinical workflows, procedures, technology platforms, documentation standards, laboratory protocols, and concierge-service expectations.
Competency will be assessed in areas such as:
- Patient rooming and check-in workflow

Independent responsibilities will increase as the employee demonstrates competency, consistency, and sound judgment.
Compensation and Growth
Compensation: $20.00–$24.00 per hour
Starting pay will be based on relevant experience, certification, blood-draw proficiency, procedure experience, communication skills, technology proficiency, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
