Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and update individualized care plans focusing on residents’ nutritional needs and health goals.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine dietary requirements, including tube feeding and diagnostic evaluations.
- Oversee meal planning, ensuring menus meet dietary guidelines and accommodate special health conditions.
- Supervise dietary department staff, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service.
- Manage budgets for the nutrition department, ensuring cost-effective procurement of food supplies and resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans that incorporate physiology knowledge and health coaching techniques.
- Monitor compliance with health regulations and safety standards, maintaining meticulous records of all nutrition-related activities.
- Provide guidance on management practices related to assisted living environments, ensuring quality care delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department management within assisted living or similar healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care plan development.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with leadership skills to motivate and guide team members effectively.
- Familiarity with patient assessment procedures, including tube feeding protocols and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Ability to manage budgets efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and staff.
