Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized weekend Intake Coordinator to join our team.
The intake coordinator is responsible for accepting referrals from the company’s referral sources, communicating with the provider case managers, and maintain professional relationships on Saturday and Sunday. The position holder is required to organize and manage referral information, processes accurately and distribute it over the other departments based on the given route. Intake coordinators report to the department lead, administrator, and/or DON.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls and messages.
- Check referral portals and accept referrals. Communicate and discuss with the operations manager and DON if needed.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
- Constantly check and keep faxes updated.
- Keep the referral log up to date and make sure all accepted referrals are reported into the log.
- Distribute charts and information in a timely manner for further processes.
- Call newly accepted patients, introduce the company, and verify their information in the referral.
- Scheduling Clinicians
- Maintain a professional, positive, and motivated working environment.
- Maintain good communication and professional relationships with the other departments.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a Home Health or Medical setting is preferred.
- EXCEL Knowledge is a must
- Knowledge of insurance verification processes is preferred
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

- 6 hour shift
- Saturday and Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm
