Job Description:
This position's primary responsibility is managing and maintaining inventory in our freezer and warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving finished products into freezer inventory, organizing and rotating stock, repalletizing products, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring the freezer remains clean, safe, and highly organized.
In addition to your freezer responsibilities, you will work as an integral member of our warehouse team, helping receive vendor shipments, prepare customer orders, load trucks, maintain warehouse inventory, and support day-to-day warehouse operations and cleanliness. While not required, ability to drive a company vehicle to make a local vendor pickups or customer deliveries is strongly preferred.
This is a hands-on position requiring excellent organization, attention to detail, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks throughout the day.
Primary Responsibilities:
Freezer Inventory Management
- Receive finished products into freezer inventory.
- Compile customer orders and document lot codes.
- Organize, rotate, and maintain freezer inventory using FIFO practices.
- Repalletize and restack products to maximize freezer space and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate inventory locations and quantities.
- Keep the freezer clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Monitor product condition and code dates.
Warehouse Operations
- Accurately compile and verify customer orders.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Receive products from vendors and verify shipments.
- Maintain warehouse inventory, cleanliness, organization, and sanitation.
- Assist with inventory management throughout the warehouse.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Occasionally operate company vehicles for local pickups or deliveries as business needs require.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors.
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to maneuver loads up to 250 lbs. using a hand truck or dolly.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work throughout an active shift.
- Ability to work comfortably in freezer and refrigerator environments for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (or willingness to become certified).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Dependable with excellent attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Good hygiene and food safety practices.
- Spanish language skills are strongly preferred but not required.
- If driving - Experience driving Class C commercial vehicles is strongly preferred.
- If driving - Valid California driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.
