This entry-level position provides training and real opportunities to grow into a long-term manufacturing career. You’ll help produce high-quality finished caskets while working with a close-knit team that values craftsmanship, safety, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Sand, repair, paint, and top-coat casket components and finished products
- Prepare products for final finishing and shipment
- Organize completed products for shipping and distribution
- Meet assigned production goals while supporting the team
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety policies and use required protective equipment
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with required PPE, including hearing and eye protection
- Able to lift, carry, push, pull, walk, climb, stoop, and stand throughout an 8-hour shift
- Able to work occasional overtime, including shifts up to 12 hours
- Able to lift and carry 15–50 pounds; heavier items may be lifted with assistance
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Able to meet the job’s physical and safety requirements
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willing to work overtime and cover alternate shifts, including weekends, when business needs require it
- Experience with metal painting, top coating, sanding, and repair is preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous casket-painting experience
- Two or more years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
Pay and Benefits
Starting pay is $20–$22 per hour, with a performance review after 90 days for employees in good standing.
