Overview
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in HVAC/R systems. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The HVAC Service Technician will work closely with clients to ensure their systems operate efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with heating and cooling equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components.
- Repair or replace defective parts of HVAC equipment, including compressors, motors, and fans.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all work performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their HVAC needs.
- Document all service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed on equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role, at least two prior years.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems and components.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals.
- Experience in equipment repair and appliance repair is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
