Anne Arundel Veterinary Emergency Clinic has been providing outstanding patient care for the past 35 years. Nestled deep in the beautiful bay area 5 minutes from downtown Annapolis is our state-of-the-art ER and referral center open 24 hours and 365 days a year. We have 25+ Veterinarians, 50+ Technicians, 20+ Assistants and 20+ Client Service Representatives. We work side-by-side with different specialty practices (Neurology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Surgery, Ophthalmology) and care for their patients overnight.
Join our Emergency Room team as a Veterinary Assistant! Help aid in the treatment of animals by running diagnostic lab tests, taking digital radiographs, holding patients for exams, setting up for surgical procedures, cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments, and much more! Veterinary Assistants will also gain experience working with neurology, surgery, internal medicine, oncology, cardiology, rehabilitation, and ophthalmology cases. It is a great opportunity to develop your skills, and there is always something new and exciting to learn in our spacious conference room where we host continuing education for veterinarians, nurses, and assistants.
Currently Hiring for the Following Shifts:
Generous Shift Differential:
- Additional $2 per hour between 4p-12a
- Additional $5.50 per hour between 12a-8a
Compensation:
- Based on experience & skill level
- $17 - $21/hour

Also, the rotation allows for numerous opportunities to take time off or vacations and only use a minimal amount of PTO.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Education and Experience for Veterinary Assistants:
- High School or Equivalent
- Experience working with animals preferred
