We are seeking an exceptional Spanish teacher to join our growing team for the 2026–2027 school year.
This position is based at one of our partner schools, where you will teach Spanish as a second language to students in 6th through 8th Grade whose primary language is English.
Position Overview

The ideal candidate is an experienced classroom teacher who understands child development, demonstrates strong classroom management skills, communicates effectively in both Spanish and English, and is committed to helping students succeed in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
- Teach Spanish to students in 6th through 8th Grade using the Language Adventures curriculum.
- Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons using immersion techniques that promote listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to participate.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies using positive reinforcement and proactive behavior support.
- Foster student engagement through interactive activities, games, music, storytelling, movement, and collaborative learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Utilize classroom technology and digital instructional tools effectively.
- Maintain accurate attendance and classroom documentation.
- Collaborate professionally with school administrators, faculty, and the Language Adventures leadership team.
- Participate in paid training sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Represent Language Adventures with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a commitment to excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent/Native in Spanish (spoken and written).
- Proficient in English.
- Previous classroom teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management and behavior management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students while maintaining high expectations.
- Experience using positive reinforcement strategies to support student success.
- Comfortable integrating technology into classroom instruction.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to assigned school locations.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Teaching certification is a plus, but not required.
- Experience teaching in elementary and/or middle school settings.
