Fine Dining Host
The Club is a private, member-only club located atop Red Mountain in Birmingham, Alabama. We are currently seeking an exceptional Fine Dining Host to join our hospitality team. Our standard is excellence through uncompromising service, delivered with warmth, professionalism, and respect. With three full-service dining venues and a robust event schedule, we offer a fast-paced yet refined environment focused on creating memorable experiences for our members and their guests.
Fine Dining Host Essential Job Functions:
- Greet and seat members and guests in a welcoming, professional manner
- Present menus and highlight daily or seasonal offerings
- Maintain awareness of table status (clean, occupied, and available) to ensure smooth service flow
- Manage waitlists and accurately quote wait times
- Interact with members upon arrival and departure, answering questions regarding menus, dining options, or events
- Provide exceptional service to ensure complete member satisfaction
- Answer incoming calls and assist members with reservations and inquiries
Schedule Requirements:
- Availability required Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 PM–Close
- Club hours:
- Tuesday–Thursday: Close at 9:00 PM
- Friday & Saturday: Close at 10:00 PM
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills, both in person and on the phone
- Ability to stand for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
- Strong service mindset with a member- and guest-focused approach
- Outgoing, polished, and gracious demeanor
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and select holidays is essential
- Mandatory holidays include: Thanksgiving, New Year’s Eve, Easter, Mother’s Day, and July 4th
