Industrial Access Group
Industrial Access Group (IAG) is seeking an experienced Strategic Account Manager to grow and expand relationships with key industrial customers across Industrial Access, IA Bulk, and IA Mechanical.
This role is focused on developing long-term, enterprise-level partnerships—not simply winning individual projects. You’ll build relationships across customer facilities and organizational levels, identify opportunities, connect customers with the right IAG capabilities, and expand our presence across locations and service lines. Candidates must live within a reasonable distance to a major airport as significant travel is required.
What You'll Do
- Own the commercial relationship and growth strategy for assigned strategic accounts.
- Develop account plans that identify key stakeholders, facilities, current services, competitors, upcoming projects, and growth opportunities.
- Build relationships with plant, regional, and corporate leaders across operations, maintenance, reliability, engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities through customer engagement, facility needs, outages, maintenance cycles, capital plans, inspections, and completed projects.
- Engage customers early to help shape solutions before projects reach the formal bid or RFQ stage.
- Introduce customers to IAG’s broader capabilities and expand relationships across Industrial Access, IA Bulk, and IA Mechanical.
- Coordinate with Business Development, Estimating, Operations, Engineering, and technical specialists to develop solutions and move opportunities from concept through award and execution.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, account plans, forecasts, customer intelligence, and next steps in the CRM.
- Turn successful projects into recurring, multi-service customer partnerships.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, business development, industrial sales, or a related commercial role.
- Proven success growing complex industrial or multi-site customer accounts.
- Experience selling services to industrial facilities and large organizations.
- Ability to build relationships from the plant level through corporate and executive leadership.
- Understanding of industrial maintenance, reliability, capital projects, outages, or specialty contracting.
- Ability to understand technical customer needs and bring together the right resources to develop solutions.
- Strong commercial judgment, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with account planning, CRM systems, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Willingness to travel regularly based on assigned customer accounts.
Preferred industry experience includes: power generation, pulp and paper, cement and lime, chemical and refining, manufacturing, mining and minerals, steel and metals, food and beverage, or other heavy industrial markets.
What Success Looks Like
You'll be successful by growing revenue and profitability within strategic accounts, expanding IAG into additional customer locations and business units, introducing new service lines, increasing recurring revenue, and developing deeper relationships across customer organizations.
A key measure of success will be expanding the percentage of assigned customers utilizing multiple Industrial Access Group service lines.
Why Industrial Access Group?
Industrial Access Group combines specialized access, inspection, engineering, bulk-material, mechanical, maintenance, repair, and field-execution capabilities to solve complex challenges for industrial customers.
As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to represent a broad portfolio of capabilities and bring together the people, expertise, and services our customers need—all while developing relationships that create long-term value for both the customer and IAG.
