Position Overview
The Senior Audio Video Installation Technician is responsible for leading and executing residential and commercial AV installations. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership in the field, and a commitment to delivering top-tier customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead installation of audio/video systems including home theaters, distributed audio, control systems, and networking equipment
· Read and interpret system designs, blueprints, and wiring schematics
· Install and terminate cabling (Cat6, fiber, speaker wire, etc.)
· Rack building, equipment configuration, and system calibration
· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site
· Train and mentor junior technicians
· Ensure projects are completed on time and meet Gramophone quality standards
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
· Provide excellent customer service and communication throughout projects
Qualifications
· 5+ years of AV installation experience
· Strong knowledge of AV systems, control systems (e.g., Control4, Crestron, URC), and networking fundamentals
· Experience with rack building, cable management, and system commissioning
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
