Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Local Flatbed Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting vehicles to and from our dealer partners using flatbed trucks within local routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving expertise and contribute to our reputation for dependable service.
Duties
- Safely operate flatbed trucks for local deliveries, between dealerships, and our shop locations. Transport between Cincinnati and Columbus as well, but only during business hours.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to reach delivery destinations on time
- Follow all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and cargo to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and delivery records in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during routes. Experience with Towbooks is a huge plus.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with flatbed or tractor-trailer trucks in a local setting
- Familiarity with route driving using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery planning
- Knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, including proper vehicle anchoring/ strapping procedures.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is required.
- Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous materials handling standards
- Experience with dealing with dealer service personel, and vehicle owners. This can be a front facing position, so the ability to act professionally and courteously is required.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
