Job Summary
Responsible for development and daily operation of the Stroke Center at UTMC. Ensures quality and continuity of Stroke
Center patients. Responsible for recruitment and retention, performance review, and professional development; involved in the budget formulation process and quality outcomes; and helps to plan for, organize, and lead the delivery of nursing care for a designated patient care area. A leader that communicates organizational vision and values and asks for the involvement of the work group to achieve target performance in quality, safety, service, efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors Nursing- Required
- Masters Nursing- Preferred
- Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee
Experience
Years of Experience can be related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
- ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- RN
- Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee or Multi-State Compact License
- Additional License/Cert/Registration Info
- BLS
- Basic Life Support Comments
- ASLS Preferred
- Prefer neuro focused specialty certification (CNRN, SCRN, NVRN-BC, ASC-BC). Willingness to commit to achieve specialty certification after hire will be considered.
