Full-Time
Last Mile is looking for a full-time mechanic to join our San Francisco service team.
We specialize in e-bikes, electric scooters, electric motorcycles, and other electric mobility products. We're looking for someone who's mechanically inclined, likes figuring things out, and takes pride in doing good work.
Experience working in a bike shop or as a bike mechanic is a big plus, but you don't need to already be an expert on every electric vehicle we sell. We'll train the right person on our products and systems.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair e-bikes, electric scooters, and other electric vehicles
- Perform routine maintenance including brakes, tires, tubes, drivetrains, and adjustments
- Assemble and inspect new bikes and vehicles
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Install replacement parts and accessories
- Perform safety inspections and test rides
- Work with our sales and customer service teams to diagnose customer issues
- Keep the service area clean, organized, and efficient
- Learn new products and repair procedures as our lineup grows
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is good at solving problems.
You don't need to know everything on day one. Electric mobility is changing quickly, and half the job is being willing to figure out something you haven't seen before.
The ideal candidate is:
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools
- Experienced with bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, motorcycles, or similar products
- Comfortable troubleshooting problems rather than simply replacing parts
- Organized and able to keep track of multiple repairs
- Reliable and on time
- Able to communicate clearly with customers and coworkers
- Comfortable learning basic electrical diagnostics
- Interested in bikes, e-bikes, scooters, motorcycles, or technology
Experience
Previous professional mechanic or bike shop experience is preferred, but we're open to someone with strong mechanical skills and the right attitude.
Experience with hydraulic brakes, bicycle drivetrains, electrical diagnostics, e-bikes, scooters, or motorcycles is especially valuable.

Our service department is an important part of the business, and we're looking for someone who wants a full-time position with room to learn, take on more responsibility, and grow with us.
