Job Summary
Established , well-respected primary care practice in Oakland County is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part time basis, (approximately 3 days a week) as we continue to grow and expand patient access. This is an outpatient family medicine position in a busy stable practice with an established patient base and a supportive clinical environment . We are looking for a provider with prior primary care experience who are comfortable managing adult patients independently, including chronic disease management , acute visits and preventative care. This is an excellent opportunity for a EXPERIENCED PA or NP who enjoys building relationships with patients and practicing in an independent community - based primary care setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital sign monitoring, and health history reviews to inform accurate diagnoses..
- Prescribe medications in accordance with HIPAA regulations, DEA guidelines, and collaborative practice agreements, including injections like botulinum toxin treatments when applicable.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Athena for documentation, data collection, and medical records management to maintain precise and compliant patient files.
- Perform procedures including suturing, aseptic technique adherence, and basic life support during emergencies to enhance patient safety.
- Ability to provide critical thinking and associative clinical skills in helping to manage a broad spectrum of patients and patient conditions
- Managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia and other common primary care issues
- Working collaboratively with physician and staff in a well-established office.
- Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensing for part-time practice.
- Proven experience in primary care settings with familiarity in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to provide remote consultations when needed.
- Ability to perform physical examinations accurately and assess patient conditions effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and health coaching; ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, HIPAA compliance standards, and drug enforcement regulations related to medication administration.Join us in making a meaningful difference through compassionate primary care! Pay: $55,923.95 - $67,349.27 per year
