Duties
- Perform expert barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming using tools like straight razors and scissors.
- Provide specialized services such as hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care to meet diverse client needs.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and following health regulations to ensure client safety.
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Offer personalized consultations on hair care, styling techniques, and product recommendations to enhance client satisfaction.
- Upsell retail products related to hair care, makeup application, and grooming essentials while maintaining a friendly approach.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling, threading, and other beauty services to promote team growth.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in hair styling, coloring, and grooming techniques.
- Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and safety standards essential for maintaining a hygienic environment.
- Excellent communication skills for client consultation and building lasting relationships.
- Ability to perform a variety of services including hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application.
- Strong retail sales skills with an understanding of retail math and upselling strategies to maximize revenue.
