Looking for an energetic, pleasant, capable team member to join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, implant, laser and oral surgery
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments following infection prevention management protocols
- Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
- Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collect medical history information from patients to support comprehensive care planning
- Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting with patient inquiries
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory, process dental instruments for sterilization, and ensure all equipment meets infection control standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental assisting best practices
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding is a plus
- Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and dental sterilization procedures
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is advantageous
- Experience supporting oral surgery or endodontic procedures preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant healthcare infection control training required; ongoing professional development encouraged

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
