NK Neenib is a growing YouTube channel focused on kindness, generosity, and emotional real-life moments. We’re looking for a reliable and creative Shorts Video Editor to join our content team.
The ideal editor understands short-form storytelling and knows how to turn raw footage into engaging, emotional, high-retention YouTube Shorts.
What you'll do:
- Edit YouTube Shorts from raw footage, typically 30–60 seconds
- Turn real-life kindness moments and reactions into compelling short-form stories
- Create strong hooks within the first few seconds
- Identify the best moments, reactions, dialogue, and emotional beats from footage
- Add captions, sound effects, music, zooms, cuts, and other edits that enhance the story
- Maintain a fast-paced editing style while keeping the content natural and authentic
- Work closely with the content team and implement feedback
- Make revisions when needed and meet agreed-upon deadlines
- Help maintain a consistent editing style across the channel
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience editing YouTube Shorts, TikToks, Instagram Reels, or similar short-form content
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention
- Ability to create attention-grabbing openings
- Good sense of timing and knowing when to let emotional moments breathe
- Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar editing software
- Creative and able to make strong editing decisions independently
- Reliable, organized, and able to work efficiently
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions
- Someone interested in building a long-term working relationship with a growing creator
Bonus if you have:
- Experience editing content for YouTube creators
- Experience with viral Shorts/Reels/TikTok content
- Experience with reaction, street-interview, challenge, or human-interest content
- Strong understanding of viewer retention
- Experience creating engaging captions and visual effects
Pay:
$20–25/hour, depending on experience and editing ability.
