Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires hands-on experience with various types of diesel equipment and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Must have own tools. Monday through Friday 45 hours a week.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical issues.
- Execute brake repairs and ensure proper functioning of braking systems.
- Operate heavy equipment, including cranes, for testing and repairs.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support repair processes.
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, and equipment repair.
- Familiarity with all engines is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to mechanical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- A valid driver's license may be required for this position.
