Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure fresh, high-quality offerings
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and other culinary tools
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Support food production for high-volume service periods, ensuring timely meal delivery without compromising quality
- Execute food handling protocols diligently, including proper knife skills and portion control
- Collaborate with team members on meal preparation, catering events, and special dietary requests to meet diverse guest needs
Requirements
- Proven dietary aide experience or similar food service background in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and cooking methods
- Experience working in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings preferred
- Demonstrated skills in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Excellent food handling skills with attention to recipe adherence and presentation standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene
