Job Summary

Duties
- Install, configure, and test audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, audio systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues efficiently using electrical schematics, schematics reading skills, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Operate live event AV production projects, ensuring high-quality audio and visual delivery for conferences, meetings, or special events.
- Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment and cabling infrastructure to guarantee optimal performance and longevity.
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics to accurately install and troubleshoot low voltage wiring and control systems.
- Program and operate audiovisual control systems to facilitate user-friendly interfaces for clients and staff.
- Manage computer networking tasks related to AV systems including software troubleshooting, network connectivity issues, and hardware integration.
- Conduct field service visits for system installation, upgrades, repairs, or preventative maintenance at client sites.
- Assist with the setup and operation of video conferencing systems ensuring clear audio/video quality during virtual meetings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and maintenance logs to support ongoing operations.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong background in AV system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with audio systems setup including implementing audio solutions for various environments.
- Familiarity with control system programming (AV control systems), digital signal processing (DSP), and electrical schematic reading.
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring practices, cabling techniques, mechanical knowledge related to equipment mounting and infrastructure setup.
- Experience managing live event AV production projects from start to finish with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical clients or team members.
- Proficiency in computer hardware setup related to AV equipment integration and software troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret blueprints or schematics accurately for complex AV system installations.
