Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Teacher for our GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program), a high-quality early childhood education initiative designed to foster young children's development and prepare them for kindergarten. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment that promotes growth across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Your expertise will help shape the foundation for lifelong learning by implementing innovative curriculum development, managing classroom activities, and collaborating with families and staff to support each child's unique needs. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions
- Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to support children’s emotional well-being and development
- Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse learning needs
- Engage in ongoing curriculum development tailored to toddler care, preschool experience, and childhood development milestones
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies
- Foster strong communication with families through regular updates, conferences, and sharing resources related to child welfare and daycare best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field; Montessori certification is a plus
- Proven classroom management experience in preschool or daycare settings with children of various ages
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring activities
- Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention practices, and behavior management techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, families, and community partners
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds including toddlers and preschoolers
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education
