English Teacher – Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School (One Year Position)
Cranbrook Kingswood Upper School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and innovative English teacher. Collaboration within a dynamic English department, creation of powerful learning experiences for a globally diverse student body, commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents through personal relationships, setting a positive tone, and treating students as individuals within the context of a broader community are all critical components of this position. This will likely be a 1-year appointment, but a permanent position among the faculty is possible.
This full-time member of the Upper School faculty teaches four sections of English and contributes to a large extra-curricular program such as Athletics, Debate, or Robotics. Additionally, it is understood that the successful candidate has a demonstrated commitment to work in an extraordinarily diverse, inclusive community and show enthusiasm for our enriching residential program even in this non-residential role.

Requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field, with a Master’s Degree preferred. Enthusiasm for teaching and working with adolescents and excellent communication skills are expected for all teachers.
