Marketing Student Employee
Salary: $12.00-$13.00
I. Position Purpose
The Marketing Student Employee supports the marketing team in executing day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives that enhance brand awareness and engagement. This role provides a current student with hands-on experience in marketing by contributing to content creation, social media management, market research, and campaign support. The position is designed to develop practical skills in a professional environment while assisting the team in achieving its communication and marketing objectives.
II. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and scheduling content for social media platforms
- Support the development of marketing materials such as flyers, emails, and presentations
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities
- Help maintain and update website content
- Track and report on marketing campaign performance metrics
- Collaborate with team members on marketing initiatives and events
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team
III. Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills
- Must be currently enrolled as a Hocking College student as a full-time student.
- Must be a second-year student.
- Must meet federal requirements for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media scheduling platforms is a plus
- Creative thinker with attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
