Job Summary:
Proveri Pharmacy Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Core Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will independently support prescription processing, medication preparation, and cycle fill workflows for long-term care and hospice patients. The Core Technician plays an important role in maintaining efficient pharmacy operations while supporting pharmacists, technicians, and facility staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently performs routine technician duties, including prescription processing, order entry, medication preparation, medication packaging, refill follow-up, inventory restocking, cycle fill workflow, and delivery coordination.
- Communicates with nurses, facilities, patients, caregivers, and pharmacy staff regarding non-clinical issues.
- Identifies insurance, billing, refill, medication access, and workflow issues and escalates appropriately.
- Helps train entry-level technicians and supports high-volume dispensing periods.
- Demonstrates reliability, accuracy, and consistent productivity with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license/registration.
- Pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
