A Sophomore Class Co-Advisor is responsible for guiding and supporting sophomore students throughout their academic year. The role often includes organizing activities, advising student leaders, coordinating class-related events, and serving as a liaison between students, faculty, administration, and parents.
The Sophomore Class Advisor mentors and supervises the sophomore class, helping students plan and execute class activities, fundraisers, and events while promoting leadership, responsibility, and school spirit.
- Advise and supervise sophomore class officers and committees.
- Assist with planning senior events
- Coordinate fundraising activities and manage class budgets
- Ensure activities comply with school policies and procedures
- Attend class meetings and student events
- Communicate with students, parents, faculty, and administrators
- Encourage student leadership and participation
- Help resolve conflicts and support positive student behavior
- Oversee deadlines related to graduation and senior activities
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Current teaching certification
- Experience working with high school students
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to manage budgets and event planning
- Experience with student activities or advising preferred
