Marketing & Public Relations Specialist

Position Summary
Circles of Care is seeking a creative, energetic, and mission-driven Marketing & Public Relations Specialist to elevate our organization's brand, increase community awareness, and promote the life-changing behavioral healthcare services we provide throughout our community.
This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing, public relations, digital communications, and community engagement initiatives that strengthen our reputation, increase community partnerships, support recruitment efforts, and educate the public about mental health and substance use services. The ideal candidate is an excellent storyteller who is passionate about reducing stigma surrounding behavioral health while promoting the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and public relations strategies that support organizational goals.
- Create compelling content for social media, newsletters, website updates, brochures, annual reports, and other marketing materials.
- Contribute to the organization's website to ensure current, engaging, and accurate content.
- Coordinate media relations, including press releases, interviews, and responses to media inquiries.
- Develop and execute social media campaigns that increase community engagement and brand awareness.
- Promote organizational events, fundraising initiatives, employee recognition programs, and community outreach activities.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to support recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives.
- Design marketing materials including flyers, brochures, advertisements, presentations, and digital graphics.
- Monitor and analyze website traffic, social media performance, and marketing campaign effectiveness using analytics tools.
- Coordinate photography and video production to showcase organizational programs and success stories.
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, business partners, healthcare providers, and local media.
- Assist with planning and promoting community education events, health fairs, grand openings, and public awareness campaigns.
- Ensure all marketing materials accurately reflect the organization's mission, branding standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay current on marketing trends, social media best practices, and healthcare communication strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field required.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred.
- Healthcare, nonprofit, or behavioral healthcare marketing experience preferred.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with social media management platforms and content scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar graphic design software.
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS).
- Photography and basic video editing experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO, email marketing, Google Analytics, and digital advertising preferred.
