Business Development Manager Job Summary:
PrideStaff is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Outside Business Development Manager (BDM) to spearhead B2B market growth in the greater Fresno area. In this field-based role, you will own the entire sales cycle—from hunting and strategic cold-calling to conducting consultative discovery meetings with Central Valley business leaders in high-growth sectors like logistics, manufacturing, and agriculture. You will craft compelling pricing proposals, leverage our CRM to track metrics, and seamlessly transition newly secured accounts to our internal recruiting team. This dynamic opportunity requires 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience, local market knowledge, and a valid driver's license, offering a competitive $60,000 - $72,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions, comprehensive benefits, a car allowance, and a clear pathway for professional advancement.
Business Development Manager Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition: Identify, prospect, and secure new B2B clients through a strategic mix of cold calling, field drops, networking, and digital outreach in the Fresno market.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct deep-dive discovery meetings with business owners, HR managers, and operations executives to understand their unique staffing needs (Light Industrial, Administrative, and Professional).
- Market Strategy: Analyze the local Central Valley economic landscape to target high-growth industries like logistics, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare support.
- Presentations & Proposals: Craft and deliver compelling sales presentations and customized pricing proposals that clearly demonstrate PrideStaff's value proposition and ROI.
- Relationship Management: Serve as the initial face of PrideStaff, building strong, trust-based relationships with new clients before seamlessly onboarding them with our internal staffing consultants.
- CRM Tracking: Maintain meticulous records of sales activities, pipelines, and client data using our internal CRM system to track progress against weekly and monthly targets.
Business Development Manager Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- A proven track record of overcoming objections, opening doors, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently pitch to C-level executives.
- A self-motivated, high-energy attitude with the resilience required for daily field sales activity.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record for daily travel to client sites.
- Deep familiarity with the Fresno/Central Valley business community and its key commercial corridors.
- Knowledge in Administrative, Clerical, & Light Industrial is Critical For Success
- AA Required, BA/BS is Preferred, But Can be Substituted For Similar Experiences
- 2+ years of B2B outside sales experience (Staffing, recruiting, or human capital management experience is a massive plus, but not required).
- Must Have Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
- Ability to Make Independent Decisions & Exercise Sound Judgment & Discretion According to Company Policies to Ensure Profitability
- Must be Willing to Visit Local Current & Future Business Opportunities
