Our established cardiology practice in Brooksville, Florida is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys working in an outpatient specialty practice and values a consistent weekday schedule with a healthy work-life balance.
The ideal candidate is a team player with strong clinical skills, excellent patient communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced cardiology office.
Responsibilities
- Apply, manage, and educate patients on cardiac loop monitors.
- Review and document cardiac monitor transmissions and communicate findings to providers.
- Administer medications according to physician orders and office protocols.
- Perform peripheral IV insertion for diagnostic testing and treatments.
- Assess patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients regarding cardiac conditions, medications, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during office visits and procedures.
- Triage patient phone calls and coordinate follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current ACLS Certification.
- Experience with IV insertion and medication administration.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Preferred
- Previous experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or another outpatient specialty practice.
- Experience with cardiac loop monitors or ambulatory cardiac monitoring.
- Experience using an electronic medical record (EMR).
