Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Estimator specializing in auto painting and collision repair to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will evaluate vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and coordinate with technicians and customers to ensure seamless service. Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly by inspecting collision sites, auto body work, and paint conditions to develop precise estimates.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software while considering parts, labor, paint, and additional services.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and build trust.
- Collaborate with technicians to review repair scopes, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all estimates, repair orders, and customer interactions for record-keeping and insurance purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new repair techniques, and manufacturer specifications to provide expert advice and improve estimate accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or auto service management experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing procedures within an automotive repair environment. Such as CCCone, Mitchell ETC.
- Some knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, oil changes, air brakes, suspension systems, shocks & struts, brake repairs, diesel engine repairs, and tire services.
- Some experience to better understand vehicle repairs such as auto body work and automotive diagnostics.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Experience in upselling automotive services like paint packages to enhance customer value.
- Strong body repair and replacment knowledge combined with sales acumen related to automobile sales and service recommendations.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a friendly attitude during customer interactions.
